How ITAD works
- Shipping or collection You ship the devices to us; collection is available on request.
- Inventory Every device and every drive is recorded individually.
- Data erasure per drive to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 with an erasure record Purge via the drive’s own commands where the drive supports it; hard disks without Purge are overwritten and verified, SSDs without Purge and drives that cannot be erased are physically destroyed.
- Sale and settlement 75 % of the net proceeds go to you. Net proceeds: the sale price without VAT, less marketplace and payment fees and shipping. Terms and settlement method in the individual quote.
- Devices without resale value Proper disposal under the ElektroG; drives that cannot be erased are destroyed to DIN 66399.
